Our bareboat fleet is small – in fact we’ve purposely limited the size to 25 yachts as we feel that with a large fleet, we’d be less able to maintain the standards for which we have become known. Barefoot’s principals are sailors and yacht owners themselves, and at least one of them is on site 365 days a year.

Although some of our yachts are older, we take good care of them – our Senior Engineer is probably the most experienced charter yacht engineer in the Eastern Caribbean and we have a staff-to-yacht ratio of 1.5 to 1, significantly higher than most other companies. Further, many of our staff have been with us for 10, 15 or even 20 years, and know our yachts intimately.

The truth is that a well-maintained 10 or even 15 year-old yacht is likely to have significantly less issues than a poorly-managed 2 year-old yacht.

Our rates are somewhat lower than other companies because we’re aware of the high cost of international air transport and so prefer to offer more affordable vacations than some of our colleagues.

We offer free sailing days during the Mid and Low seasons, repeat customer discounts – and extremely attractive discounts for long-term charters.
