Sail Canada Catamaran Learn-n-Cruise
Certifications available on this course include Sail Canada Basic Cruising, Sail Canada Intermediate Cruising, and the Sail Canada Catamaran Endorsement. The week reviews the basics and goes covers the Sail Canada Intermediate certification, recognised by most charter companies as a bareboat skipper’s licence – but with the additional experience of cruising on a 38-to-45 foot catamaran and achieving the Sail Canada Catamaran Endorsement certification. This course is designed for sailors who have their Sail Canada Basic Cruising certification or equivalent experience.
Sail Canada Advanced Cruising
Learn to act safely as skipper and crew of a sailing cruiser of 10 – 15 meters, any modern rig and inboard engine, operating within 100 miles of shore by day and night in coastal or inland water in any weather during this 6 day Live-a-Board Learn-&-Cruise course. The 6 days are spent consolidating sailing skills, anchoring techniques, navigation, Rules of the Road, and basic maintenance skills, whilst sailing through the stunning cruising grounds of the Grenadine Islands with beautiful anchorages and plenty of opportunity to explore ashore. The itinerary includes short open-ocean crossings and at least two night sails.
Sail Canada Offshore Cruising
Sail Canada Offshore Cruising provide a structured way for a sailor to acquire the knowledge, skills, and experience to plan and implement a significant offshore passage. After an initial orientation, this course involves a continuous cruise that covers 500 nautical miles and ventures 100 miles offshore.
