There are some great videos of the Grenadines on our website that really show how uncrowded and unspoiled the area is. Also there is a new international airport in St Vincent now. In the past sailors had to connect via Barbados onto the dreaded LIAT airline. (LIAT – Leave Island Any Time) There are many horror stories in circulation of lost luggage and late flights trying to get to ST Vincent. Now sailors can fly direct from Miami, New York, once a week and direct from Toronto twice a week. More flights will soon be added as the flights are operating full and there is obvious demand for the route. This is a unique time to have a yacht located in the Grenadines: It has become much easier and cheeper to get here BUT the sailing masses don’t yet know that or in a lot of cases, they don’t even know about the islands.

As you know Seawind Catamarans are performance cruising catamarans. The Grenadines, and wider Windward Islands, enjoy 15 to 35 knots of wind from between 045 to 120 degrees true wind angles more than 300 days a year .  Sailing north and south along the Windward Islands chain owners have a playground covering a straight, as a seagull flies, line of over 460 NM.

The Grenadines, our primary charter area, is a 92 mile long runway with beam winds and 32 islands and cays dotted along the way. Seawind catamarans were conceived and built to be in such places. They will be able to see their desired performance potential with ease on an almost daily bases. Fast Fun and Friendly. IMPORTANT ! FOR YOU TO KNOW ABOUT THE GUARANTEED PAYMENT PROGRAM WHEN OFFERING.

For the Guaranteed Payment Program Barefoot requires owners putting down 25 % as a down payment. This is to make the program work.  Barefoot has a minimum requirement that all our programs have the potential to be at least net worth neutral in the long term for our yacht owners. Barefoot Yacht Charters does NOT have multiple bases to offer reciprocal sailing rights to owners so we have made the strategic decision to compete in the charter management market with the highest return on investment( ROI) to our owners possible. If we can’t see how we can make an owner at least net worth neutral we would prefer not to work with that owner.
We require a signed management contract in our possession 6 months in advance of the yacht entering into charter service at the Barefoot Base. If agreement is received with less than 6 months to the yachts entering into charter service, the yacht may start operation on the Partnership Program until it has been on our website for 6 months before it can be eligible for the Guaranteed Payment Program.
Yachts are only eligible, in the Guaranteed Payment Program, for 3 years and in some cases 3.5 years after manufacture date (depending on when in the year the yacht begins charter service). Yachts may remain on under the Partnership program beyond 3 years.
Boats MUST be appropriately equipped (With generator and air-conditioning and adequate navigational gear etc.) and have the charter preferred layouts to be eligible for the Guaranteed Payment Program. We need yachts that meat the demands of todays charter market to make this sustainable.
Barefoot reserves the right to limit the number of boats operating under Guaranteed Payment Programs and can suspend taking new boats into Guaranteed Payment Programs at any time. We have a fixed number of slots available for Guaranteed Payment Programs in each size range each year and once that number has been reached we instantly and without warning or notice suspend the option for that size range in the Guaranteed Payment Program until the following year. First come first serve.
Should your prospect wish to share the details of the purchase of his yacht we can do customized projections for him. Our models are very sensitive to cost price of the yacht and to the financing details of the deal so to do personalized projections requires the input of information specific to each deal.
