There are some great videos of the Grenadines on our website that really show how uncrowded and unspoiled the area is. Also there is a new international airport in St Vincent now. In the past sailors had to connect via Barbados onto the dreaded LIAT airline. (LIAT – Leave Island Any Time) There are many horror stories in circulation of lost luggage and late flights trying to get to ST Vincent. Now sailors can fly direct from Miami, New York, once a week and direct from Toronto twice a week. More flights will soon be added as the flights are operating full and there is obvious demand for the route. This is a unique time to have a yacht located in the Grenadines: It has become much easier and cheeper to get here BUT the sailing masses don’t yet know that or in a lot of cases, they don’t even know about the islands.
As you know Seawind Catamarans are performance cruising catamarans. The Grenadines, our primary charter area, is a 92 mile long runway with beam winds and 32 islands and cays dotted along the way. Seawind catamarans were conceived and built to be in such places. They will be able to see their desired performance potential with ease on an almost daily bases. Fast Fun and Friendly. This is a great place to enjoy the sport of sailing by actually sailing and it also has some of the most beautiful anchorages in the world thrown in to round it all off into an amazing experience.
